Lake Robbins Town Center
The master plan for the commercial center of a new city, north of Houston, Texas, combines the gridded street system of the typical Midwestern town with a modern version of romantic landscaping focused on a large lake.
A series of ten-to-twenty-story office towers and a hotel reinforce the street grid and define major vehicular and pedestrian intersections. Pedestrian circulation is separated from vehicular traffic throughout. Public spaces around Lake Robbins and a park containing a natural stand of pine woods serve as unique features in this suburban center.
